R. Murray McCheyne

Banknock (formerly Stirling)

1946 - 2020

Peacefully at his home in Banknock on 23rd December 2020, after enduring cancer, faced with characteristic fortitude,  R. Murray McCheyne M.Sc, C.Eng, M.I.MechE, aged 74 years (formerly of Stirling and a retired manager of Weir Pumps). A loving husband to Jean, father, father in law, grandfather and friend who will be sorely missed but who now knows God’s nearer presence.

Due to current restrictions a private funeral service will be held and should only be attended by those the family have been able to invite. This will however be available to view through a live stream facility by clicking here on Tuesday 5th January at 12:00noon (it will also be available for 28 days thereafter) and entering the following information:

Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is invited to line the route on Tuesday 5th January as the cortège will leave from Hazel Road at 11.20am, travel onto Laburnum Road, Bog Road and then turn right before pausing at Haggs Parish Church and Denny Old Parish Church.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held once it is possible to do so but meanwhile if anyone feels they would like to make a donation in Murray's memory then the family have asked that this be towards McMillan Cancer Suport who have done so much to support Murray and the family in recent times.
