We have served the community of Grangemouth since the early years our business was founded. In the mid 1990's we felt it was necessary to have premises in the town as there was no other local Funeral Director for the bereaved to call upon. Our premises were initially opposite the Leapark Hotel, however, this was only an office and it was not long before we felt we needed additional facilities. For a number of years we tried to obtain permission to extend our original premises and build these facilities, but this was refused by local authorities. Fortunately new premises became available to us and we moved into the Old Dundas Church in 2010.
Dundas funeral home, as we now call it, has capacity for over 250 people and many of the original features of this grand building are still in place. The communion table, baptismal font, pulpit, lectern and original pews all still remain. The original stained glass windows have been cleaned and the three large windows behind the communion table are floodlit in the evenings. The pipe organ has now been completely restored and is tuned regularly in order that it can remain an integral part of the building some 125 years after it was built.
The fomer church hall has been converted to provide private rest rooms, meeting rooms and toilet facilities. Our premises are available for anyone in the local community who has the need to call upon us which enables us to be completely self sufficient, without the need to hire a function suite when people require a larger venue.
There is parking in front of the main building for clients visiting the funeral home and we have parking to the side of the building for use when services are taking place.
Our Dundas funeral home is located at Bo'ness Road, and is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00am till 5:00pm and is fully staffed during these hours to ensure that we are always available when people have the need to visit us.
