News > Covid-19 update on attendance at funerals (5th August 2021)

We are pleased that any funerals which take place from Monday 9th August will no longer face the restrictions that have impacted so severely upon the bereaved over the last 16 months.

As a result attendance at any funeral will now be possible (assuming the venue has space for those who wish to attend). Please note the cap on 200 mourners has also been lifted.

Contact information for those that attend a funeral is still required (in order to comply with the Test & Protect Scheme) so we ask that people contact us in advance to register their details which will assist in preventing delays as people arrive on the day. Wherever possible we also suggest arriving in ample time as it may take slightly longer for people to be seated.

Those who have not registered in advance will be allowed to enter once their details have been recorded (assuming that there is still capacity within the venue).

Wherever possible Government advice is that people try to sit within their own households and if the venue is large enough we would encourage people to maintain a safe distance from other households.

In order to ensure that the safety of our community continues to be possible we ask that anyone who wishes to visit our premises contacts us in advance to arrange an appointment. We are able to visit private residences and ask that wherever possible the number of people within a room be kept as low as possible.

It is still a requirement that those who visit our premises wear a face covering (unless exempt from doing so) and we can confirm tha each of our service rooms can once again accommodate the following number of mourners:

  • Bo'ness ~ 70

  • Denny ~ 70

  • Falkirk ~ 70

  • Grangemouth ~ 250
