Attend a funeral > Attending a funeral FAQs

Q. I can only manage to go to one part of the funeral, is that ok?

Yes. A funeral is sometimes split between two venues. There can be a service in a church or a funeral home, followed by the burial or cremation. In this event mourners are welcome to attend at either venue, but most people attending would go to both.

We occasionally find parts of a funeral are requested by the family, to be private. If this is the case it would usually be intimated in a newspaper notice and notification passed on via the funeral director, or word of mouth.
